The National Public Health Agency (NPHA) through the National Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Program with technical support from World Health Organization (WHO) has concluded a two days (26th - 27th September 2024) workshop at Family Kingdom Aberdeen, to validate the Framework and Toolkit for IPC in disease outbreak, preparedness, readiness and response for High Threat Pathogens.
Infectious diseases outbreaks caused by High Threat Pathogens, such as viral hemorrhagic fevers, severe acute respiratory infections, and waterborne diseases, pose significant Public Health challenges globally.
Effective IPC measures are critical in mitigating the transmission of these pathogens within healthcare settings and communities. Therefore, developing robust framework and toolkits tailored to the specific characteristics of these Pathogens is essential for enhancing preparedness, readiness and response strategies.
