Dr. Mohamed Alex Vandi is a dedicated public health leader, serving as the Deputy Executive Director (Technical) of the National Public Health Agency (NPHA). His expertise in disease surveillance, epidemiology, and health system strengthening has been instrumental in advancing Sierra Leone’s public health landscape. 

A strong advocate for collaborative health strategies, Dr. Vandi actively promotes the One Health Approach, ensuring seamless coordination between human, animal, and environmental health sectors to prevent and manage disease outbreaks. His leadership has played a crucial role in strengthening disease monitoring systems, enhancing laboratory capabilities, and bolstering emergency preparedness to safeguard public health.
