In a powerful joint operation, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Office of National Security (ONS), Sierra Leone Police (SLP), and the National Task Force for Drug and Substance Abuse have struck a significant blow against drug trafficking networks. This concerted effort has resulted in the destruction of $94,155,200 million worth of 7,847,100 Captagon pills and counterfeit drugs worth NLe 2.3 million from the pharmacy board.

The operation marks a major milestone in Sierra Leone's fight against drug trafficking and the proliferation of counterfeit pharmaceuticals. The collaborative efforts of these agencies demonstrate our nation’s unwavering commitment to ensuring a safer and healthier environment for all Sierra Leoneans.

In addition to the drug bust, authorities seized bomb-making materials, including 12.5 kg of empty gas cylinders, high-grade TNT, detonators, and firing devices. The discovery and confiscation of these materials underscore the multifaceted nature of the threats faced and the comprehensive approach needed to address them.

This operation underscores the importance of inter-agency collaboration in tackling the complex issues of drug trafficking and public safety. The NDLEA, ONS, SLP, and the National Task Force for Drug and Substance Abuse have shown that by working together, significant progress can be made in dismantling criminal networks and protecting the citizens of Sierra Leone.

The success of this operation is a testament to the dedication and hard work of all the agencies involved. It highlights the government's commitment to creating a safer, drug-free Sierra Leone. Efforts like these not only disrupt the supply chains of dangerous substances but also serve as a deterrent to those who seek to profit from illegal activities at the expense of public safety.
